Chef Michael joined the Lake Gibson Village family in 2020 as the Culinary Director and Executive Chef. Originally from the northeast in New York and Pennsylvania, Michael migrated south to Lakeland. He’s been a part of the senior living industry for a decade and loves working with seniors on an individual basis to discover their tastes and preferences. His specialty is putting a modern twist on comfort food classics. As a part of Chef Michael’s experience, he competed on the Food Network’s “Iron Chef” show and has brought a slice of that here to Lake Gibson Village by hosting “Chopped”-style contests with the culinary staff here—residents have even served as judges! While Chef Michael isn’t in the kitchen, he enjoys participating in various other creative outlets, such as writing, music, and art, along with spending time with family.
