Colonel L. Dail Turner, (USAF, ret), chief strategist to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of Staff, General Colin Powell, during the First Gulf War, helped develop the strategic response to Saddam Hussein’s invasion of Kuwait. He will discuss the impressive military victory of the coalition forces and some of the failures of U.S. policies following the war. He will conclude with brief comments about the 2003 invasion of Iraq and his retrospective views on the Vietnam War. This event is complimentary and open to the public.
